Easter Madness
"Another Successful Easter Weekend Mi Seh". Many visitors and locals had a blast on La Isla Bonita. There were many amazing events going on in every corner of the island; from street & beach parties, great music, delicious food, fruity drinks and all night fiestas. Perfect sunny weather that made everybody hit the beach for a refeshing dip into the aquamarine waters.

Sea Turtle Spotting at Hol Chan
Easter break is almost here and the island of Ambergris Caye is already teeming with Spring breakers and folks from the mainland who are flocking in search of sun, sea and sand! One of the hotspots along the Great Barrier Reef is the Hol Chan Marine Reserve that is packed to capacity these days.

Bicycles 'Stop' Traffic!
Not one, not two or even three, but probably close to 100 bicycles loaded onto the bed of a huge truck were transported through downtown San Pedro on the way to the barge. They are bicycles that are confiscated by the police, others recovered from theives and never claimed by their owners.

Conch Shell Sunset
Photo opportunities are always a plus on La Isla Bonita. It doesn't matter where you are, the beauty of this island shines and imaginations for photos come alive. Sunsets are incredibly amazing on the island just ask the conch shell spectators that were enjoying it.

They were standing on the side of the road in the Capital City of Belmopan waiting to see Prince Harry arrive at the Diamond Jubilee Block Party; charismatic and eager to see, or better yet, meet Prince Harry.

Caye Caulker Celebrates Spelling Bee Win
The Caye Caulker R.C. School wins the Zone 5 Spelling Bee competition for the first time in 17 years – Tuesday, February 21, 2012. The two spellers from Caye Caulker placed first and fourth. Pictured here is Blayd Vernon with his trophy as the entire school came out to the boat upon their arrival to celebrate their win. Congrats to the spellers. Great job!

Racoon's Hitch a Free Ride
We always see racoons in the wild and most of the time think of them as pests. But these three baby racoons seem too adorable to be called pests. San Pedro's Largest Dog
It stands about 4 feet tall and weighs in at 150 pounds. Holy Molly! Pepper is undoublty the largest dog on the island and island pet grooming service in San Pedro, Pampered Paws, had the pleasure of hosting this beautiful Great Dane for a day of grooming and pampering. And get this, Pepper is still a puppy, yes it is only one year old!

Michael Douglas and Wife Dine at Blue Water Grill
Excitement was in the air last month when word got around town that A-list celebrities in the likes of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, Halle Berry and X-Men First Class’ actors Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult were roaming freely around Ambergris Caye, enjoying the island charm. Few were lucky enough to spot the celebrities and snap their pictures.

The Early Bird Catches the Fish
It's early morning sunrise in San Pedro. While most of us are still in bed or getting ready at home to head to work, there are those who are up before the sun rises. A perfect example would be these local fishermen who get up at the crack of dawn to catch sardines for their work ahead of them.

Fresh Conch! Ceviche Yes!
Conch season is still open in Belize; it does not close until June 30! Here are some residents waiting for fisherman Robert Halliday to get those delicious conchs out of their shells. They were ready to make some ceviche on this beautiful Sunday afternoon! A typical scene on the beach. We sure did have some ceviche over the weekend; did you?

Stunning Sunset in San Pedro
Needless to say, Sunsets are always stunning in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. They go hand in hand with the beauty of our island. Each day poses a great opportunity to capture these wonders of nature, especially these purple infused sunsets that we have been seeing lately.

Mr. & Mrs. Claus Came to Town
We had to stop Mr. and Mrs. Claus as they drove around San Pedro on Christmas Eve. As soon as we heard Santa say "Ho, Ho, Ho" we immediately recognized that it was Mr. Cory McDermott and his wife Janet who were spreading the Christmas cheer as Mr. and Mrs. Claus on island golf cart. So much fun!

Santa Lands on Palapa
The most beautiful papala on the island, at the moment, belongs to resident Dr. Lerida Rodriquez who has it all decked out for the Christmas Seaon. She took down the thatched roof for repairs just in time for the Holiday Season and lined it up with beautiful rope lights all around. Santa in his slead with reindeers adorn the top of the palapa.

Get Married in Belize!
Wedding Nuptials Casey and Mary Woth - Even on a chilly, windy, rainy and cloudy day like this San Pedro, Belize still looks stunningly beautiful. That is why Casey and Mary wanted to get married here in San Pedro despite the weather conditions on Wednesday, December 8, 2011.

Fun with Cruz Arts
Everybody knows local artist Kirt Cruz who sets up his table in front to Mickey's Place to create and sell his paintings. He enjoys being out there interacting with the locals and meeting tourists who stop by to look at his works of art. Kirt has done very well from recovering from an accident that left him paralized from the neck down.

San Pedro Retains its Rustic Charm
It is not the biggest celebration on the island of Ambergris Caye, but it might as well should be one of the biggest. Township was aquired in 1984 and our small quaint little village has never been the same since. Development that came along with the increase in tourism has almost converted San Pedro Town into a city.

Beach Wedding at Xanadu Resort
At any given time San Pedro is buzzing with activity. Take Saturday, November 12, 2011, for instance - a sailing regatta, pastry shop inauguration, 15 años party, calendar launch party and a beach wedding! And we bet there was much more going on. It was a cloudy day, but that did not prevent anything from going on schedule.

Special Delivery from Infant 2 Students
Back to School time has launched many new skills and activities, including letter-writing. The Infant 2 Class from The Island Academy had a busy time at the San Pedro Post Office on Friday afternoon, October 21st. They brought letters composed in proper form to culminate the First Term of the Language Arts curriculum with Teacher Lisa Anderson.
