Sully Marin and Ismael Lisbey exchanged vows in Holy Matrimony at the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 13, 2013, which was also the celebration of Sully’s birthday. Their godparents were Eddie and Ina Alamilla. A reception followed after the mass celebration at the San Pedro High School courtyard with family, friends and invited guests. Congratulations to Sully and Ismael!

Belize Fashion Week kicked of last night, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Holiday Hotel’s Caprice Restaurant with an opening ceremony and cocktail social. The event allowed all the participants, such as the designers, models, invited guests and government officials the opportunity to meet in person.

Isla Bonita All Star Marching Band took to the streets of downtown San Pedro on Saturday, April 6, 2013, to showcase their new uniforms which they debuted during their participation at Bandfest 2013.

On Saturday, March 16, 2013, island residents gathered at the San Pedro Lion’s Den to witness four lovely girls, Cecibel Cortez, Lina Mazariegos, Alexis Del Valle and Linda Quintanilla, compete for the crown of Miss Lion’s Queen.

Foreva Fancy Boutique held its Exclusive Fashion Show on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Island Club Resort. It was a night full of fashion, dresses, shoes and great modeling. Sixteen beautiful models took hold of the runway and displayed beautiful accessories, dresses and shoes that can all be found at Foreva Fancy Boutique located in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

Feliz Bar & Grill, Heather & Kevin Smith, donated a check for $995.00 to Holy Cross Anglican School!  Feliz Bar & Grill donates funds raised from Wednesday night Bingo games every month.  January was a fundraiser for our little Holy Cross School and February is fundraising for SAGA Society.

Sanpedrana Celia Perdomo has recently graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in the USA. Celia moved from San Pedro some time ago to live in Los Angeles, California where as a single mother she is raising and educating her four girls who are also Belizeans.

After making numerous appearances on stage or in parades, The Isla Bonita All Star marching Band has become San Pedro’s most popular marching band!  On Sunday, February 3, they entertained the guests at Crazy Canuck’s on invitation by Bob.  Then on Monday February 4, they led the parade for the San Pedro Cancer Society commemorating World Cancer Awareness Day.

Estel’s Dine by the Sea was the place to be on Friday, January 18th as a blues jam session fundraiser took place. Rendezvous Restaurant & Winery owner Glen Schwendinger teamed with Blue Dogs band members Kent Obermann and Chris Kay to raise funds for the Holy Cross Anglican Primary School.

It’s the season of giving and that is exactly what many businesses have been doing this Holiday Season in San Pedro. There were many fantastic Christmas raffles and give-aways that businesses on the island conducted as a show of appreciation to their customers.

Holy Cross Anglican School surely has angels (or elves)!  Krista Mohr and Jodie Harnish, for the second year in a row, have played Santa's elves by collecting, purchasing and wrapping gifts for all of our 420 darling students at Holy Cross Anglican School.  There would be no Christmas for these kids if not for them!

School's out for the Chrismas Holidays and the island kids are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. But before closing for the holidays, most of the island schools presented their annual Christmas Variety Shows to kick off the end of the year celebrations.

The theme of this year’s Christmas Pageant at the Island Academy was all about Wish Lists and asking Santa Claus for the perfect gift. But the main message was about sharing and spreading love and cheer during the Christmas Season.

Congratulations to Carmelita Caceres and Mauricio Aquino who tied the knot on Saturday, December 1, 2012, in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Their wedding ceremony was conducted aboard a catamaran that was a wedding gift from their close friends, in which they celebrated into the sunset. We wish Carmelita and Mauricio a great life together as they commence their journey of matrimony.

The Holy Cross Anglican School held a cultural exhibition on Friday, November 16, 2012 at its school compound. On display were different booths of the various ethnic groups found in our beautiful Belize. Students displayed posters about the traditions, religious beliefs and food about each ethnic group and also performed to several typical and folkloric dances.

El Divino Restaurant, located at Banana Beach Resort, inaugurated its new Sports Bar over the weekend on Saturday, November 17, 2012. There was Happy Hour specials on drinks and free BBQ samples. The Sports Bar is an extention to El Divino's bar/lounge and offers a great environment to watch sporting events in a comfortable lounge area surrounded by large flat screen televisions.
