Why should San Pedro and Caye Caulker Vote for NRP’s Ernesto Caliz?
As the General Elections approaches, less than a month away, three candidates have pledged their commitment to work for Belize Rural South and run for office to represent San Pedro and Caye Caulker in the House of Representatives, if elected by their constituency.
The three standard bearers for Belize Rural South are Mel Spain (PUP), Manuel Heredia (UDP) and Ernesto Caliz (NRP) and to give all candidates an open forum to address their constituency, Ambergris Today asked them one simple question: “Why should the people of San Pedro and Caye Caulker vote for you?”
This week we give Mr. Ernesto Caliz of the National Reform Party the opportunity to respond to the question at hand. In the following two weeks we will publish the response of Mel Spain and Manuel Heredia Jr.
Ernesto Caliz:
“I believe in Social Justice. I believe that every Belizean has the God-given right to enjoy the wealth that our country and community has to offer and to enjoy peace and happiness with our fellow citizens. I know the pain and suffering that every poor man and woman, Belizeans and outsiders, suffer on a daily basis because of cheap policies and politicians. I offer my self to fight tooth and nail to see social justice come to pass. Believe in yourself and in God and together we will make a better Belize.”
