While I couldn’t be on the island to experience the annual Love FM Christmas Parade this year, I couldn’t help but feel the holiday spirit from afar. Scrolling through images and videos on social media, and hearing all the buzz from friends back home, it’s clear that this year’s parade was another beautiful celebration of fun, laughter, music, lights, and, of course, Christmas cheer.
What made this weekend extra special was that it was a true double-header for San Pedro. Just the night before, the highly anticipated Christmas Boat Parade lit up the waters of Ambergris Caye after a five-year hiatus. And as if the holiday magic wasn’t already in full swing, the Love FM Christmas Parade came along the very next day to keep the festivities alive and the smiles shining.
Although this year’s parade was smaller than in previous years, it still packed a serious punch. From what I could gather, it was bursting with entertainment, vibrant energy, and the kind of Christmas cheer that makes this season so magical. There were dazzling floats covered in twinkling lights, children waving excitedly as they lined the streets, and, of course, the familiar sound of Christmas music filling the air. It’s everything you’d expect from an event that has become such a beloved holiday tradition.
Love FM Christmas Parade Does it Again
The Love FM Christmas Parade has been a staple in San Pedro since 2011, and it’s no wonder the island has grown so fond of it. Each year, families, friends, and visitors gather along the streets to enjoy the show, making memories and kicking off the season in the best way possible. It’s one of those events that brings everyone together—young and old, locals and visitors alike—to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Though I couldn’t be there in person this year, seeing the joy and excitement in every photo and video made me feel like I was right there on the sidelines, soaking in the holiday magic. It’s clear that even with a smaller lineup, the Love FM Christmas Parade delivered another unforgettable evening of festive fun.
As I reflect on what makes San Pedro so special during the holidays, it’s these moments that come to mind—events like the Christmas Boat Parade and the Love FM Christmas Parade that remind us of the importance of community, joy, and celebrating together. The island truly shines brightest during this time of year.
To those lucky enough to have been there, I hope you soaked in every moment of the magic. And to everyone who makes these events possible year after year, thank you for keeping the holiday spirit alive in San Pedro. Here’s to another season of love, lights, and Christmas cheer—on the island we all hold so close to our hearts.
