The children who particiapted in the Ministry of Education and Youth’s Summer Reading Program were all estatic in having completed the program that took place between July 25 to July 29, 2011. Under the theme “Learn to Read, Read to Learn” volunteers, educators and personnel from the Ministry of Education here in San Pedro led the participating children through some fun and educational reading courses and fun summer activities. On the last day of the program, members of the community were invited to read stories to the children and everyboday was awarded with certificates of completion and a handbag full of gifts and more reading material.
