Calling all young reptile and amphibian enthusiasts!
The International Herpetological Society (IHS), in collaboration with the Crocodile Research Coalition and The Belize Zoo, would like to invite young Belizeans (ages 12– 22) who have an interest in reptiles and/or amphibians to at the International Herpetological Symposium to be held at the Best Western Hotel in Belize City, June 19 – 22, 2019.
IHS provides a forum for the dissemination of information and results of research
pertaining to the natural history, conservation biology, and captive management and propagation of amphibians and reptiles, in addition to inspiring young people who have an interest in the field of herpetology. This is a great opportunity for young Belizeans to meet some of the world’s leaders in herpetology, make new friends with junior herpetologists from the United States, as well as learn more about the research and conservation of reptiles and amphibians.
All selected participants (and one guardian) will be provided:
•free registration of hotel conference
•free accommodation for participant
•paid round-trip travel to conference
•free participation in IHS outings (such as a trip to The Belize Zoo).
