Saturday, April 21, the Old Football Field was the place to be as six beautiful island girls took center stage and gave their very best performances as they competed for the coveted title of Miss Chiquitita 2012. All of them were charming and beautiful but only one took the grand prize. Lovely Kiryani Pou won the hearts of the judges and took the coveted title of Miss Chiquitita 2012.
It was a night to remember, as all six outstanding girls, Elizabeth Grace Sanchez, Tjaunnie Ack, Kiryani Pou, Ayanna Staine, Aylen Tang and Yari Flores first took on the stage with a very energetic dance and made it known that it was going to be a tough competition. The entire audience joined in by making their cheers and applauses very audible throughout the show.
After their introductions, the girls wowed the crowd in the swimsuit competition showing off their modeling skills. The talent competition was another great segment as each of the girls made a special presentation with dances. This year the girls went all out for this segment; a dramatic ballet with a strong message against bullying was presented by Elizabeth Sanchez and Kiryani Pou also presented a dramatic and energetic dance against offshore oil drilling. The other contestants presented lovely dances with colorful props.

Not once did the girls fail to impress the audience and judges as they made their presence on stage showing grace, beauty, poise and self confidence. The girls displayed beautifully tailored evening gowns during the evening wear competition they all looked like princesses.
Throughout the pageant, the crowd was entertained with energetic dances by the San Pedro Dance Company, Barbabra’s Group and Hot Feet Dance Group accompanied by the amazing singing talents of Neslen Rivero.
The title of Miss Congeniality was won by Yari Flores and lovely Elizabeth Grace Sanchez won Miss Photogenic and the First Runner Up title. Lovely Kiryani Pou had everything the judges were looking for and won the coveted title of Miss Chiquitita 2012.
