San Pedro Community Shocked at Sudden Death of Sanpedrano After Domestic Dispute

Island residents are still trying to grasp the fact that a son-of-the-soil is dead today after an early morning domestic dispute. San Pedro Police is today investigating the circumstances around the death of 28-year-old Felix Eduardo Alamilla, a local Sanpedrano.

According to preliminary information received by the San Pedro Police Department, a domestic dispute took place around 6a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, between Felix and his common-law wife where she inflicted deadly stab wounds while he was sleeping inside a building located four miles south of San Pedro Town.  Felix was rushed to the San Carlos Medical Clinic where Dr. Giovanni Solorzano pronounced him dead on arrival. According to Dr. Solorzano the victim had three visible injuries which included a small cut to his head less than three centimeter in diameter, an injury to his chest just above his heart one inch in diameter and another stab wound on his left upper leg.

Alamilla’s body will be transported to Belize City for a post mortem examination. His common-law wife 36-year old Anabel Matilde Bacelis Kumul, a Mexican of Otton P Blanco, Chetumal City Quintana Roo has been detained by police and it is expected that she will be charged with murder. Alamilla and Kumul had two children.
