This week the Police Departments all over Belize are celebrating Police Week. In the best of their abilities to give back to their communities and surpass the inclement weather, Police Officers have taken time off their busy schedules.
The San Pedro Police Department has organized a full week of events to give back to the island community. On Monday, June 19, a clean up campaign and painting project at Boca Del Rio Park was held. The officers worked on beautifying the public bathrooms at the park that were ruined with graffiti.
In order to interact with the community, On Tuesday, June 20, the police officers took the time to visit various primary schools to give a brief presentation on the role of the Belize Police Departments country wide. They also talked about the requirements and qualifications in order to become a Police Officer.
Today Wednesday, June 21 the community is invited to visit the police department ground as they hold their “Open Day” with displays of the different services offered at the Police Station.
