Efforts to address critical road damage in North Ambergris Caye are gaining momentum, thanks to the collaboration between Area Representative Hon. Andre Pérez, the Government of Belize, and the San Pedro Town Council. Road repairs are underway for the area.

During a recent meeting with stakeholders, Hon. Pérez was joined by Deputy Mayor Dianeli Aranda and San Pedro Town Council Operations Manager Alex Eck to assess the damage caused by recent rainstorms. The discussions focused on immediate repairs and long-term strategies to improve road conditions for residents, businesses, and tourists.

In the short term, 250 loads of hardcore material are being imported to restore accessibility to the most severely affected areas. These emergency road repairs aim to provide much-needed relief to those impacted by the damaged infrastructure.
