The People’s United Party (PUP) at 75 roving exhibition arrived in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye this week, aligning with national activities marking the birthday of the Right Honorable George Cadle Price, Belize’s National Hero and founding leader of the People’s United Party. A small ceremony opening the exhibit at the San Pedro House of Culture was held last night, Monday, February 9, 2026.
The exhibition, which launched in September 2025, was curated by the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) and has been touring the country as part of the PUP’s 75th anniversary celebrations. It chronicles the party’s evolution and highlights key moments in Belize’s political and social development.
Officially introducing and welcoming the exhibition here in San Pedro was Mayor Wally Nuñez, Hon. Andre Perez, Minister of Blue Economy and The Secretary General of the People’s United Party in Belize, Collet Montejo. The exhibit showcases historic moments of the political party during Belize’s growth and highlights major contributors to the PUP here in San Pedro.
The exhibit is open from Wednesday, February 11 to Friday, February 13, 2026, at the San Pedro House of Culture located on Angel Coral Street (Back Street) across from the sport complex.
