Let’s Talk About Love!

Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. Love is also a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection; and “the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another”. Love may also be described as actions towards others based on compassion, or as actions towards others based on affection.

Love is a strong, powerful word that should only be said if it is meant. Love is like the wind which you can’t see but you can feel it. There are many different types of love that exist; Family love, Relationship love, Friendship love, Loving a pet or something that was given to you as a gift; something valuable. Love blinds one. It changes the way we think or who we are sometimes but it also gives us courage to continue trying if we know that people who love us are always going to be there.Teen Talk Reporter -Solani Graniel

As teenagers, people may say we don’t know what it is to love. I strongly believe we do because loving someone doesn’t mean you need to be attracted to them but rather love them as anything they are and mean to you. This week I decided to ask my fellow peers, since there are different types of love, “What does love mean to you?” “Who do you love?’ These were their responses:

Neslen – Love is when you care for someone so much you need to have him by your side always. You think of him and it’s not only about sex! I love my family!

Christine – To me love means that you care for someone as much as he cares for you. You have an attachment to the guy that no one can take you from. But the only ones I love are my family and God, (it’s unconditional) because they are always there for me when no one else is.

Jovi – Well to me love is a strong word that evolves emotions, feelings and affection. I love my family as well as my friends.

Deandra – It’s something people think about when they feel it. When you least expect it, it turns out to be love. When you find someone that truly loves you he won’t let you down.

Rainer – Love is a powerful word that when I say “I love you” I mean how I feel. It’s like that strong feeling that can only be explained in words by saying love. I love my family, friends, and you Miss Teen Talk!

Cesar – Well love for me is an attraction that you get for someone in your life. Love is something serious because it’s not good to love someone too much and in the end she will end up hurting your feelings and then you can’t support the pain. I have experienced it and I don’t want to pass through it again. I love my family and friends!

Georgina – Love is respect, admiration, care, devotion and consideration. I love to be loved by my family and friends! I also love to Loved!

Kevin – Love is a word that cannot be described yet is experienced and felt by everyone. Because it is felt by everyone, it obviously has a different meaning to each one. For example one can love his dad or love his partner, or one can love his pet, and also one could love Facebook or YouTube. Love is a big world that generalizes an affection that one feels towards someone or something depending on the person. In my case I love my family but I also love to do graffiti and to play basketball, to go out with friends and also I LOVE to SLEEP.

Al Hernandez – Love to me doesn’t have one specific meaning but many meanings! Love is to be shown in every little thing that you do for the one you love and always trying to make that person happy and being faithful to that one person only! Also love is about caring about the person and not caring what anyone says about that person or what problems you two might go through. You will work it out because you truly love one another.

Teen Talk – Love is a strong, powerful word that evolves emotion, affection, kindness, caring, passion, romance etc. It should be shown to everyone you do care about every day of their lives! Love exists in many different ways. To me love is a word that shows how much someone feels about you. Love may blind you but it’s the greatest feeling anyone can ever give or receive! I love my family, friends, even my enemies and I especially love my readers. Thanks for all your support, and I love you too Rainer!
