On Sunday, June10, 2012 the Beauty Club gathered her students at the Isla Bonita Elementary School for a two day Nail Workshop with nail expert Jacqueline Constantino from Mexico. Many of the girls stated that the experience has been very impressive and can't wait for many more workshops in the future.

Graduation Season is here! This month of June the island will be busy with lots of graduation ceremonies and lots of parties to celebrate the proud achievements of the graduates. The Island Academy was the first school to kick off the graduation season, holding its graduation ceremony on Friday, June 1, 2012.

The Island's primary school children participated in the Festival of Art that was held on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium, San Pedro High School, were they presented colorful, vibrant and fun performances. The showcase allowed them the opportunity to enter the national competition for the Festival that will take place at a later date in Belize City.
Jaime Manzano and Jessica Eiley merged their two lives into one of man and wife on Saturday, May 19, 2012, as they headed to the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church to be wed. And they asked their invited guests to "dress to impress" at their wedding reception that followed and which was filled with fireworks, lots of dancing and lots of fun until the early morning hours. Saturday, May 5, 2012, San Pedro High School held its annual Business Fair at the R. Angel Auditorium. The Juniors and Seniors greeted all their customers with open arms and tried their best to impress, sell and represent their businesses. Just like in the business world today, there were many competitors and excellent marketing teams.

San Pedro’s Miracle Baby - Daniel Estell has just come back from a follow-up check up in Columbia, South America after his liver transplant took place in August 2010. We are happy to announce that he has a clean bill of health and arrived back on the island today, Wednesday, April 25, 2012, with a huge smile on his face after seeing his family waiting for him at the airport.
Emilse Marin celebrated her Quince Años (15th Birthday) on Saturday, April 14, 2012, with a celebratory mass at the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church and festive party with family and friends beachside. The San Pedro AIDS Commission once again presented the spectacular show of Noche de Estrellas Part II. The fundraiser is one of the two biggest events the Commission hosts every year and with resounding success of last year’s show, the Commission brought the superstars from Merida, Yucatan once again to entertain during the Easter festivities.
The San Pedro Holiday Hotel officially repoened its restaurant and bar under the new name Caprice; giving the establishment a new look. Classy Chic comes to mind when you step into Caprice; with a long and elegant bar, four different lounge areas, a waterfall wall, and the large deck converted into the restaurant dining area, the establishment now gives off more of a boutique-hotel feeling.

At the end of the fundraiser show that took place at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium, Alejandra Hackston, won the title of the new Miss Isla Bonita Elementary.

Each has been working hard, together with their classes, to raise money for improvements to the Isla Bonita playground and lunch area.
