About a month ago Mr. Jose Gregorio Najera affectionately known by most island residents as “Don Jose” asked the public to kindly assist him to raise funds for a much needed surgery that he required.
Don Jose is in need of a second bi-pass surgery to install a new heart pace-maker and he was raffling his personal golf cart.
Seeing how much don Jose needed assistance and did not want to see him part with his golf he uses work, his friends organized a live radiothon on the Reef Radio Morning Show. They managed to raise $5,000 he needed to cover for the pace maker and surgery fees.
Through this medium he would like to let the public know that he is very grateful to all who bought a raffle ticket but the raffle will no longer be carried out. Those who purchased tickets are notified that they can contact Don Jose to be refunded for the tickets or (in the case of many of us) leave it as a donation for post surgery fees.
