The San Pedro BTIA Poly Clinic Committee has organized the first ever annual benefit Christmas Concert for the Dr. Otto Rodriguez Poly Clinic II. The concert with feature Jake Hill and Russell Hulme and will take place at the famous Fido’s Restaurant & Bar on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 7pm to 11pm.
The Dr. Otto Rodriguez Poly Clinic tends to residents and visitors free of charge and operates 24/7. Although the Government of Belize funds the Polyclinic, Belize is a small country with other clinics to funds with a limited budget. The clinic does an amazing job with what it has, but lacks the resources it desperately needs, which is where the SP BTIA committee is stepping in. The long and the short of it is that the Polyclinic needs extra support for equipment and supplies. Although there has been success in bringing supplies in through various charities, mainly in the States, there is still the freight, packaging, and government fees to be paid as well as purchasing supplies and equipment charities are not able to provide.
The concert on December 13th is the first public fundraiser the committee is organizing. The obvious aim is to raise as much money as possible. There will be silent auctions and several raffles taking place during the night. Your $10 entrance fee automatically includes a raffle ticket.
All monies raised will go towards the purchasing of equipment and other needed supplies as no cash donations are accepted to the Poly Clinic.
