Hustler Dock

Not very long ago there were only a few short piers or jetties along the shoreline of Ambergris Caye. This Flashback illustrates one of the few short piers, perhaps some 30 feet long with only a small structure at the end for the safekeeping of some fishing equipment. In those days not even a building permit was required and it was never used for business purposes. But San Pedro got careless and allowed these same people to build immense structures that are worth thousands of dollars and now used in real estate. Some people are lucky that they can get to convert public property into private property. Ooops!
