Ambergris Today is pleased to announce the arrival of San Pedro’s first baby of the New Year 2008. Ermiñio Gabriel Yupit was born under the care of Dr. Daniel Gonzalez at the Ambergris Hopes Clinic on January 2, 2008 at 5:15 p.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 9 ounces.
Mother, Sanpedrana Rosita Kumul, explained to Ambergris Today that she did not experience any labor pains; she was simply waking when she felt something like a slight cramp and went to the doctor for a check up since her due date was near. And to her surprise she had her baby in a matter of minutes and was blessed with a bouncing baby boy. Ermiñio is the third child of Rosita and Ermiñio. Their other children are 14 year old Abigael Kumul and 10 year old Luz Clarita Kumul.

While in Belize City, another baby was born at the KHMH at 10:08 a.m. on Tuesday, January 1. Baby Gennalyn Reanna Young, weighing 7 lbs 12 oz, is the first child to 28 year old mother Maria Young. Baby Young received a gift basket worth over $250 by the Lions Club of Belize.
