Thursday, February 24, 2011, Baby Daniel Estel had the opportunity to make a fortunate person’s day as he drew the lucky winning ticket for an Orange Walk House Lot that was raffled as part of the fundraising efforts to assist in his recovery. The raffle winner is Mrs. Amparo Urbina from Orange Walk.
The raffle was one of the many fundraising activities held due to the determination of Daniel’s Family and the perseverance of a San Pedro community that never gave up hope. Through countless days of prayer and fundraising, Baby Daniel was in the minds and hearts of a community determined in got giving up the fight of giving Baby Daniel the opportunity of life by finding the resources to provide him with the much needed liver transplant. (Baby Daniel was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disorder that required major surgery and transplants. After a successful surgery a few months ago, Baby Daniel is on a great road to recovery.)
Today, a bright, happy and jubilant Baby Daniel was very playful in selecting the winning raffle ticket.
