Primary School students gathered at the Old Football Field on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, as the zone elimination for the National Sports Council’s Primary School Softball Competition took place. Participating schools included San Pedro RC School, Holy Cross Anglican School and Isla Bonita Elementary School.
Battling out for the female first place position were the girls from San Pedro RC School and Holy Cross Anglican School. The girls played quite a match the girls from Holy Cross came out victorious and will be representing San Pedro at the Belize City.
The boys from Holy Cross first took on the boys from Isla Bonita Elementary School and after a well played game the male team from Holy Cross came out winners and took on the team of San Pedro RC School. RC Primary School and Holy Cross battled it out and after a few innings it was Holy Cross that took the top spot and they will be representing San Pedro at the softball championship in Belize City.
Both the male and female teams from Holy Cross will be representing Zone 5 – San Pedro at the National Sports Council’s Primary School Softball Competition which will take place this Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Roger’s Stadium.
