The 5th Annual Tres Pescados Slam Tournament is set for August 15-17th, 2013. As in previous years, the event will be a three-day catch and release fly-fishing tournament for the grand slam species bonefish, permit and tarpon.
The Tournament will have a Pro division only, with all Pro Teams guided by a licensed BTB fly fishing guide.
This year will see changes in the format of the tournament, mostly in point allocations. There still are sponsorship slots available. Simms Fishing Products have already secured a presenting sponsorship position, leading the way for another fantastic tournament in 2013.
Many teams from last year have already signed up. The field of teams is limited to 20 boats, so get your registration in early! Deadline for all entries is April 1st, 2013.
At least one team member, anglers or guide, must attend the Casters Meeting banquet on Wednesday evening August 14th, 2013 to receive the latest tournament updates and catch and release packet.
Total entry fee ($650 BZ) includes three Caster Meeting banquet tickets and three Caster’s Banquet tickets. Additional tickets for either event can be purchased with team members and sponsors having first chance at available seats.

2013 Tres Pescados Scholarship Award
The ‘Tres Pescados Slam Tournament’ is pleased to announce Belize’s first fly-fishing scholarship. Designed to help one graduate student in San Pedro follow their dream of becoming a licensed BTB fly fishing guide, as well as continuing their post secondary education.
The scholarship award will be based upon a number of factors, but the winning student must use the award to pursue post secondary classes and the BTB Tour Guide program. Upon successful completion of the BTB Tour Guide curriculum, the winning student will enter a mentorship program. Full scholarship details will be released in the coming months.
