Hotel representatives and travel agents of the Mexican state of Yucatan, visited Belize on Thursday, May 9, 2013, promoting Yucatan as part of the Tourism Delegation called “I discovered Yucatán” organized by The Yucatan Tourism Board.
With this event, prepared for Belizean tour operators, travel agents, media, and tourism stakeholders, the Yucatan Tourism Board in coordination with hotels, travel agents and tour operators from Yucatán, strengthened the promotional strategies of the Yucatan tourism service providers and at the same time promoted Yucatan and the city of Merida as an ideal and affordable destination for Belizean travelers.
The Mexican delegation held a meeting with six travel agents, two regional operators, the Belize Ministry of Tourism, a Belizean airline and representatives from different Belize media houses, as well as the Ambassador of Mexico, Mario Velazquez.
With these actions, the Yucatan Government, through the Yucatan Tourism Board continues its efforts to promote that Mexican state and to consolidate its commercial partnerships to bring more visitors to the state.
