The annual Children’s Rally in connection with our patriotic celebrations was held today Friday, September 13, at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the San Pedro Town Council.
Attending and participating in the rally were students of San Pedro High School, R. C. School, Holy Cross Anglican School, New Horizon Elementary, Ambergris Caye Elementary, and Isla Bonita Elementary. The main speaker at the rally was 12-year-old visiting Inspirational Speaker from the United States, Anthony Gill, who spoke on the topic of bullying.
Other speakers included Education Officer Miriam Codd Pott, and San Pedro Mayor Daniel Guerrero. Certificates of Appreciation were presented by Mayor Guerrero to one outstanding student from each school for outstanding contribution and patriotism during the past school year. Patriotic presentations by each school added to the colors of the rally this year.
