It was awarded Festival of the Year 2015 by the Belize Tourism Board for a reason; the San Pedro Lobster Festival has become one of the BIGGEST festivals in the country. This year it will consist of 11 days of day and night celebrations, all for the love of lobster.
Celebrating the lobster season in Belize does not get better in Belize and this year San Pedro commemorates the tenth year of the festival that has gotten global attention and only seems to be growing bigger each year.
The first festival was held in 2007 with a week of nightly events leading up to one epic block party. Over the past 10 years the festival has evolved into a 10 day festival filled with over 20 great activities and incredible lobster themed foods!
The activities kick off on June 15th with the opening party. There will be daytime and night time events leading up to the Lobster Fest Central Park Block Party on Saturday, June 25th, featuring the musical talents of the Pannerifix Steel Band!

Join the Lobster Crawl
Each guest attending the Lobster Crawl is given a Lobster Festival Passport – In the passport there is a page for each of the day and night Lobster Festival events; for each page that guests get stamped by the participating venue they are entitled to a raffle ticket. Then on June 21, guests bring their “Passport” to Central Park to the Lobster Festival’s official sponsor’s booth. One lucky participant will win a vacation package for 2 to attend the San Pedro Lobster Festival 2017!! The vacation package includes complimentary local airfare, hotel stays, tours, golf cart rental, bar tabs, dinners, massages and much more!
New Website
The festival has a new website: www.sanpedrolobsterfest.com that keeps you up to date with the schedule of the festival, posts regular press releases and gives participates deals from sponsors of the event.
Block Party with a Bang
Prepare to party like a LobSTAR as the block party is BIGGER at 10, with more food booths, more entertainment and more FUN. The organizing committee stresses on keeping everything local, from the food, drinks, judging, entertainment to the decorations. Everything is meant to promote the lobster season, local business and boost tourism on the island.
Prepare for the best and biggest festival on record; it is the longest event of all; the Crawl has much more venues and it is going green by promoting the use of biodegradable plates, containers and bags at the food booths. Already, participating restaurants are fine-tuning their best lobster dishes and bars are mixing up new recipes for that tasty cocktail. Who will come up with the Most Creative Lobster Dish, Most Unique Lobster Drink, Make Lobster for Dessert and decorate the most awesome booth? You will have to attend the Block Party!
