Hurricane Matthew has made its mark by being the only hurricane to not lose its force winds even after hitting land. Many Caribbean countries such as Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, and Bahamas have been affected by the storm.
To give a helping hand to our Caribbean brothers and sisters in Haiti whom have seem to lost about 800 lives and having thousands affected and losing everything, The Belize Red Cross announced that the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies have launched an emergency appeal for $6.9 million to provide medical, shelter, water and sanitation assistance to 50,000 people ravaged by the storm in the southwest portion of Haiti.
The BRC is inviting organizations, companies and any fellow Belizean who wants to contribute to do so.
