Flamboyant Park Gets Facelift by Projects Abroad

Through the efforts of volunteers at Projects Abroad, Flamboyant Park in the San Pablo Area received a much-needed facelift on Friday, December 2, 2016. The park was looking in dire conditions with broken down benches, dilapidated swings, broken down sign, muddy entrance and filthy surroundings.

Even month, Projects Abroad conducts a community event in which they give back to the community in some way. Sometimes it’s a cleanup, picking up trash or helping with another event. This time around they helped clean up the park that is used on a daily basis by the neighborhood children. The volunteers picked up trash, fixed the broken benches and even added a new coat of paint to the structures.

With the help of S.P. Hardware for the paint, Ladybug for the plants and Graniel’s for the wood, the volunteers managed bring back the charm of the park. They await on a new sign from Minister Heredia to finish of the project.
