San Pedro’s Top 2018 PSE Scorers

The Primary School Examination results are out and the students from San Pedro Town did an excellent job! The top scorers this year where Bryan Roca of San Pedro RC School (92% – 368/400 points), Gabriella Knox of The Island Academy (90.25% – 361/400 points) and Matthew Bradley of San Pedro RC School with (89.5% – 358/400 points).

A total of 7, 271 students sat the PSE and this year the scores were considerably better in English, Math and Science. The Top Achiever for this year’s PSE was Haley Thurton of Hummingbird Elementary in Belize who scored a 96.5% (384/400points). The following are the results for schools here on the island:

San Pedro R.C. School
78 Students took the test – 75 Passed
1. Bryan Roca – 92% (368/400)*
2. Matthew Bradley – 89.5% (358/400)***
3. Shaneen Palma – 87.75% (351/400)

Isla Bonita Elementary School
9 Students took the test – All Passes
1. Yamino Flores – 75% (300/400)*
2. Reina Guerrero – 72% (288/400)
3. Damaris Peralta – 71% (284/400)

Ambergris Caye Elementary School
4 Students took the test – All Passed
1. Daniel Trejo – 73% (292/400)
2. Cesar Ramirez – 72.3% (289/400)
3. Jordy Gonzalez – 71.5% (286/400)

New Horizon SDA School
60 Students took the test – 35Passed
1. Jason Rosalez – 83.5% (334/400)
2. Debora Silva – 82% (328/400)
3. Alejandro Ack – 79.25% (317/400)

Holy Cross Anglican School
45 Students took the test – 35Passed
1. Yovanny Campos -79.25% (317/400)
2. Kaidran West – 78.75% (315/400)
3. Luis Monterros – 76.25% (305/400)

The Island Academy
11 Students took the test – All Passed
1. Gabriella Knox 90.25% (361/400)**
2. McKenzie Turley – 88.75% (355/400)
3. Noah Beaumont – 87.5% (350/400)

The PSE assesses achievement of curriculum content and skills in the four (4) areas of English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science of the National Primary School Curriculum.
