The Belize House announced on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, that the Governor-General, His Excellency Sir Colville Young received a monetary donation for the Governor-General’s Music in the Schools Programme to purchase a small consignment of musical instruments. His Excellency also received a donation of souvenir pins for use at his Annual State Reception in September.
This generous donation was made by the Ambassador of Taiwan, His Excellency Mr. Charles Liu. In making his donation Ambassador Liu, pledged to continue to encourage and support musical programs in schools throughout Belize, and to renew his commitment to assist in developing and promoting the love of music and the practice of the arts.
