On Thursday, October 11, 2018, the San Pedro Police Department reports acting on information received of a gunshots in the Boca del Rio Area. They visited the San Pedro Poly Clinic where they encountered the lifeless body of 21-year-old Julian Trapp, a mechanic of the DFC Area of San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye.
Trapp had one apparent gunshot wound on the left side of the chest, two apparent gunshot wounds to the left lower abdomen entrance and exit, two apparent gunshot wounds to the upper left leg entrance and exit, one gunshot wound to the left upper leg, one apparent gunshot wound to the right lower back, one apparent gunshot wound to the left buttock and one apparent gunshot wound to the right buttock.
The police also report that Armando Trapp, 27-year-old construction worker of San Juan Area, received one apparent gunshot wound to the right fore arm. Initial police investigations revealed that last night, about 10:20p.m., Julian Trapp, Armando Trapp and two other persons were socializing at La Choza Restaurant and Bar located on beach front San Pedro Town Belize District. A lone gunman with a fisherman mask on his face came from out of the mangrove located across from the bar and fired several shots in their direction causing the fatal injury to Julian Trapp and the injury to Armando Trapp. Police continue their investigation.
