Isla Bonita Elementary School Student Places 2nd in PSE Countrywide

The Primary School Examination results are out and the students from San Pedro Town did an excellent job! The top scorers this year where AnnElyse Fleser-Perdue of Isla Bonita Elementary School (95% – 380/400 points), Kamryn Rhaburn of San Pedro RC School (91.8% – 367/400 points) and Nia Lisbey of Ambergris Caye Elementary School with (91% – 365/400 points).

A total of 7, 280 students sat the PSE and of which 11 were private candidates. PSE Numbers for 2019 show that 65 fewer candidates sat the exam over 2018.  The Top Achiever for this year’s PSE was Jasmin Espat of St. Andrew Anglican Primary School in Cayo who scored a 96.5% (386/400points). The following are the results for schools here on the island:

90 Students took the test – 83 Passed
1. Kamryn Rhaburn – 91.8% (367/400)**
2. Wayne Alfaro – 89.8% (359/400)
3. A-rad Morey – 89.5% (358/400)

13 Students took the test – 9 Passes
1. AnnElyse Perdue – 95% (380/400)*
2. Terrance Keating – 89% (356/400)
3. Jovilene Oshon – 74% (294/400)

Ambergris Caye Elementary School
13 Students took the test – All Passed
1. Nia Lisbey – 91% (365/400)***
2. Jordy Diaz – 83.5% (334/400)
3. Samantha Ancona – 79% (316/400)

New Horizon SDA School
53 Students took the test – 28 Passed
1. Krista Mazin – 80% (320/400)
2. Edwin Lima – 79.25% (317/400)
3. Daniel Marin – 71% (284/400)
3. Andrez Perez – 71% (284/400)

Holy Cross Anglican School
37 Students took the test – 29Passed
1. Leticia Garcia -81.2% (325/400)
2. Ever Carter-  76.75% (307/400)
3. Mildi Gonzalez – 76.25% (305/400)

The Island Academy
8 Students took the test – All Passed
1. Brian Camal – 87% (348/400)
2. Annie Kristine Nunez – 86.75% (347/400)
3. Louke van Noord – 85% (340/400)

The PSE assesses achievement of curriculum content and skills in the four (4) areas of English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science of the National Primary School Curriculum.
