The Police Department is doing everything they can to address the crime situation on the island. They held a public meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2017 just after the death of Mario Graniel and Gary Swank to address the communities concerns. Top brass officers including, COMPOL Chester Williams, along with Commanders SPU Aaron Gamboa, GSU Edlin Lorenzo and MIT Dalton Sanchez have been on the island holding meetings and strategizing on ways to effectively fight violence and crime on the island.
In an effort to help the Police Department the Hol Chan Marine Reserve donated two new LeFan 250 Brand Motorcycles. COMPOL Chester Williams and the San Pedro Police Department are very grateful for the donation and would like to express their highest gratitude and satisfaction for the donation. Handing out the donation was Mr. Javier Paredes and Mr. Kevin Gonzales of Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
