It’s always nice when businesses come together to help the community. Blue Water Grill, The Phoenix and Red Ginger have always come together to raise funds and help a school or members of the community. This time we are happy to share good news coming from these group of businesses, from January through June 2019, they were raising money to tile the first floor classrooms at the San Pedro RC School.
In total, guests at The Phoenix and customers at Red Ginger, Wine de Vine, and Blue Water Grill donated $8,881.24 and the Businesses have matched 100% of those donations, for a total amount raised of $17,762.
The tile project cost is $30,000, so they fell $12,500 short. That cost includes repairing the existing concrete subfloor and pouring screed, along with the ~4,500 square feet of tile – materials and labor. The exciting news is that the businesses decided to contributed an additional $12,500. The tile project has started and will be completed before school starts in September!
Starting now and continuing for the next few months, Blue Water Grill, The Phoneix, Wine De Vine and Red Ginger will be raising money for Hope Haven, which is a children’s shelter here in San Pedro. They will match all contributions. All money raised will be directed towards the daily operations of Hope Haven – utility bills, food, staff salaries, etc. You can donate at any of our businesses.
