Pick Up Trucks Donated to Belize Ministry of Health

The Minister of Health, Hon. Pablo Marin officially received three vehicles on Wednesday, July 8, 2019, to compliment and support the fleet of transportation across the health regions of the Ministry of Health. The Minister received two Pickup trucks and one Refrigerated cargo truck through cooperation funding agencies in a small handing over ceremony at the parking lot area of the Ministry of Health in Belmopan.

The two Nissan pickup trucks valued at a total cost of BZ$97,400 was procured through the European Union (EU) and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) under the Health Sector Support Programme, Belize (11th EDF).

The Hino refrigerated cargo box truck valued at approximately BZ$81,500.00 was donated under the project: Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Non-Reimbursement Technical Cooperation for Improving the Efficiency of Public Health Expenditure and it will be used by the Central Medical Stores Unit.

Dr. Noreen Jack, PAHO representative, Mr. Nicolaus Hansmann, EU representative and Ms. Astrid Salazar, Operations Senior analyst, IDB were all present for the handing over.
