On Tuesday, December 17, 2019 Rickilee Response and Rescue (RRR) Air Evac Emergency Response Team handed over $1million worth of medical supplies to the San Pedro Poly Clinic, Caye Caulker Poly Clinic and the Belize Emergency Response Team (BERT).
RRR is an emergency management company for water, land and air evacuation on the island of Ambergris Caye. This project was the brain child of Cruz, Chavez of Omaha, Nebraska & member of RRR Air Evac who teamed up with Project Cure to raise funds in the United States of America and in a short five months they were able to come up with this million dollar donation worth of medical supplies.
The San Pedro Poly Clinic will be receiving crutches, gurneys, oxygen tanks, stethoscopes, surgical kits, delivery kits, catheters, intravenous bags, refrigerators (to store medicine), large freezer (to store blood), dressings, stapler and stapler remover (surgical uses) to name a few. In addition to these much needed medical supplies the town of San Pedro will be receiving an ambulance, which is already in the country awaiting transportation to the island.
The Caye Caulker Poly Clinic and the Belize Emergency Response Team (BERT) were also recipients of medical supplies. RRR Team would like to publicly express their sincere gratitude to Minister Heredia and Mayor Daniel Guerrero for their support and Mr. Alex Eiley of Caribbean Depot for always transporting all medical supplies to the island.
