School is out in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, because of the heavy rains and bad weather conditions due to tropical depressin #2 hitting Belize today, June 17, 2013. The Ministry of Education called for no classes and kids being kids, a few found how to enjoy their free day. They headed to the beach to have some fun with the unusually large crashing waves.
While his friends are ducked under this large wave, we see this one boy jumping high to avoid being hit by it. Although they were having much fun, we understand that the Belize Coast Guard is conducting security patrols along the coast and has discouraged the young boys from this activity due to the high tide and strong rip currents. Safety First!
