It was a very proud and touching moment for the Marin and extended family on Saturday, February 28, 2015, as Aldo Marin and Patricia Gomez Marin celebrated their Gold Wedding Anniversary and 50 years of joys and shared sorrows, hard work and dedication, commitment and above all 50 years of love.
Relatives, children and friends convened at the Lion’s Den which was dressed aptly for a Prince and his Princess. Congratulations to his children who put this beautiful ceremony together to include Aldo Marin Jr., Nano Marin, Arely Marin, Marco Marin, Aracelie Ritchie Marin, Enrique Marin, Ina Alamilla Marin, Amir Marin, Giovanni Marin, and Ayonnie Palma Marin.
Host for the night was Angel Nuñez who reminded the couple that what one reaps whatever he sows. “This couple,” said Nunez, “has sown a lot of love and this day we get to enjoy, appreciate and congratulate the miracle of the Garden of Love.”
Aldo Marin Jr. offered the welcome to the invited guests and expressed his admiration to his wonderful parents. The honor of the main toast was bestowed on Dr. Giovanni Solorzano who also thanked the Marin’s for being among the first ones to welcome him into their homes. Giovanni expressed his admiration for this couple and congratulated his large family for being very united and supportive of their parents.
In a very symbolic act their 25 grandchildren and one great granddaughter presented roses of love to Aldo and Paty who sowed this garden of love on February 28, 1965. Giovanni Marin offered the vote of thanks, reminisced on the great times all his brothers and sisters had with their parents and the fond memories of their small wooden home which to them seemed a palace. And yes in the end Giovanni broke down as he could not contain his emotions of love and respect for their loving parents.
Talk about a party! After the Nuptial waltz with the entire family, the Lion’s Den became one lively Garden of Love and fun. Besides the music of Memo and Rompe Raja, there was Wil Nuñez along with Oscar Aguilar who provided the golden oldies to the delight of everyone. It was a party fit for kings and where the invited guests were treated with royalty.
Congratulations to Aldo and Patricia Marin for having sown a wonderful Garden of Love.
