San Pedro High School Graduates 102

Every year since 1976 when San Pedro High graduated eleven students, there has been a steady increase in enrollment up to this year when a record 102 graduated in full pomp and circumstances.  Here are the highlights of the ceremony:

Eloquent Emcees: Graduates Miss Briseidi Molina and Mr. Jaye Wagner eloquently carried the program along with joy and smiles and much charisma.

Salutatory: Miss Elisa Garcia set a welcoming tone of celebration expressing pride and joy as the fruits of their labor.

Diplomas and Awards: The honors of shaking the hands of the more than excited graduates were given to Board of Director’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Miguel Alamilla Jr.

Guest Speaker: Loud applause and joyful cheering greeted Mrs. Iris Perez before, during and after her address to the graduates as guest speaker. She is a teacher at San Pedro High School, a dynamic mathematics teacher and a very caring person.

Valedictorian: The honors of Valedictorian were offered or rather earned by Miss Kylie Alamilla who scored a cumulative grade point average GPA of 3.9. She is a living example of a person who follows her dreams as she will now peruse in the quest of becoming a doctor.

The ceremony continued with the rose ceremony for the parents, the candlelight ceremony for the new seniors, the principal’s address, the farewell song and vote of thanks by honor student Nicole Ritchie.  Ambergris Today salutes all graduates, their parents, the administration and staff, and everyone who took honors at the SPHS 2018 Graduation.
