Eric Swan Arrested for Saldivar Murder

In January of this year, 28-year-old John Paul Saldivar was found dead in North Ambergris Caye and on Wednesday, April 15, 26-year-old, Eric Swan who was shot in a crossfire with police, appeared in Magistrates’ Court where he was charged for Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Swan is set to reappear in court on Wednesday, May 13, 2009.

The murder, which led to the shootout, occurred on January 30 of this year in the Rocky Point Area. Saldivar was riddled with bullets in the murder, for which the motive is believed to have been an alleged drug operation gone awry. While two of his assailants were fleeing the scene, they were encountered by cops and a cross fire ensued. Swan now joins 28-year-old Shelton Tillett, 28-year-old, Micah Thompson and 21-year-old, Charles Woodeye in jail.
