PRESS RELEASE (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) July 27, 2011
Whereas, on September 10, 2010, the San Pedro Business Association made a complaint to the Public Utilities Commission (the Commission) in respect of the quality and security of supply of potable water to the public on Ambergris Caye by Belize Water Services Limited and Consolidated Water Belize Limited;
And whereas, the Commission was satisfied that reasonable grounds existed to conduct an investigation which culminated in a Public Hearing in San Pedro Town on December 14, 2010.
The Commission intends to issue its Decision and Order, in respect of the San Pedro Business Association’s complaint, on Friday 29 July 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sun Breeze Hotel Conference Room in San Pedro Town.
The Commission will respond to questions after the issuing of the Decision and Order. (End)
