Thursday, October 20, 2011- Smart would like to inform its customers and the general public that the migration to its new 3G network will commence on Sunday, October 23, 2011 and run into the early hours of Monday morning.
This exercise is expected to last approximately ten hours beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday night. Voicemail will be the first service to be interrupted on or around 8:30 p.m. with a full interruption of all services starting around 10:00 p.m.
This gradual shutdown of all services is necessary for the transfer of all customers and services to the new network. It is anticipated that voice services should be restored by 1:00 a.m. and all other services by 6:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2011.
We once again would like to thank our customers for their understanding, patience and loyalty through this process and apologize for any inconvenience caused as we work to improve our services to you.
