The National Emergency Management Organization – Belize Rural South is planning a three day summer program for youths of San Pedro and Caye Caulker between the ages of 14 – 19. The summer program will commence on Monday, July 16 and will culminate on Thursday, July 19 for San Pedro Town participants and July 23 – 25 for Caye Caulker participants.
NEMO is looking for 20 motivated youths to be a part of this event for the summer particularly 20 participants from San Pedro and 20 from Caye Caulker. The purpose of the activity is to recruit and train participants in the event of an emergency or disaster. To Enhance the knowledge of students on disaster preparedness, to build capacity and empower the community with the skills and tools needed to respond to a disaster.
