A group of college students from Augustana university in Sioux Falls South Dakota will be offering a free arts camp on August 18th & 19th at Boco Del Rio Park and at Central Park on August 23rd & 24th. Activities include percussion classes, crafts, dancing, drawing, singing and games will be offered from 10a.m. – 12p.m. and 1p.m. – 4p.m. / Ages 5-14.
The group offering these workshops are five amazing university students from a liberal arts college called, Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. They wanted to combine their love and expertise in the arts with their love of children.
Arts Camp #1
Thursday & Friday, August 18th & 19th, – Boca del Rio Park
10a.m. to 4p.m.
** If possible, send a lunch with your child.
This camp will be accessible to the children of San Mateo, Boca de Rio, San Juan and San Pedro.
Arts Camp #2
Monday & Tuesday, August 22 & August 23 – Central Park on
10a.m. to 4p.m.
** If possible, send a lunch with your child.
On Monday and Tuesday, Transportation will be provided – free of charge – for children in San Pedrito, San Pablo, Escalante and the DFC Area. Taxis will waiting to transport children at 9:30, 9:45 and 10 am at the following locations: New Horizon School, the San Pedrito Playground, Marina’s, and the old/abandoned church in San Pablo.
Children need to get there early, and a taxi will pick them up – free of charge. Camp will also make sure they are taken home, free of charge at 4 pm.
