Jazz-Kebab Pool BBQ
Have plans for the weekend? Wanna have a great dining experience at a four-star resort on Ambergris Caye? Well, Dorian’s Angels have a great tip for you, because after having visited Coco Beach Resort on their Jazz – Kebab Pool BBQ on Friday night, there is no doubt that we have to recommend this night of exotic dining.
Located just a short boat ride, bicycle ride or golf cart ride at 3.5 miles North Ambergris Caye, Coco Beach Resort is currently hosting a Kebab Beach BBQ every Friday night. Akin to its sister resort’s Belizean Shores Beach BBQ on Monday nights (with the traditional BBQ), Coco Beach offers a more romantic setting with a delicious seafood skewer menu that includes fish, lobster or shrimp and also chicken or pork.
Dining takes place amongst the elegantly landscaped environment of Coco Beach with table setting that have been placed between two of the most incredible swimming pools on the island. You have to see to believe, as Coco Beach’s swimming pool flows underneath the resorts center building, intertwining itself around a bar and seating area. It’s the perfect setting for a night of dining under the stars.
Dinner starts out at 6 p.m. as Chef Sherlet Belisle sets up the banquet poolside. All Kebabs are served with baked potato or Mexican Rice and green salad. The Angles wasted no time in digging into the juicy kebabs. Refreshing tropical cocktails also awaited us at the Cococaban Pool Bar as the Angels were treated with the Belizean Colada (coconut rum, mango mix, banana, coconut cream and milk) and a Dirty Banana (rum, cream, coffee liqueur, vodka, coconut cream and milk) – YUM!
Entertainment for the Friday evenings is provided by Banda Cubana with Maikel Garcia performing the saxophone and keyboard accompanied by the lovely voice of Anailen Gonzalez. They make for an unforgettable evening of music that includes Jazz, Blues, Romantic Ballads and Ritmo Cubano Music. Did we mention that the Angels were also accompanied by the rest of the Ambergris Today staff? Well we all got up to dance as Anailen entertained by the bar.
Don’t let the resort’s Four-star status shun you away. Coco Beach Resort’s Jazz – Kebab Pool BBQ is open to the public; reservations are not required but recommended as it gets pretty busy on Friday night! You can start your weekend with great food, excellent music and a perfect romantic setting at Coco Beach’s BBQ night every Friday from 6p.m. to 9p.m.
