The San Pedro Town Council “Di Lamp Up!” It’s September 6 already and I barely see any September/Patriotic decorations around town! When politics or conventions come around the entire town is doused with red, blue and white, why not now when we need to show it the most.
Where is the spirit? I love the colors, our Belizean Flag and how all the September Celebrations Spirit brightens up Belize, but I see nothing yet. In my opinion, they should be up by September 1! Yeah!
Kudos to The Villas at Banyan Bay, Marinas Store and El Dorado who have strung their flags across the street since the beginning of the month; that I love to see. And these are just a few that I have seen around town, there are other that have followed suit. But other than the Town Council there are plenty other homes and businesses that remain bland and non-patriotic. I know that most are very well decorated on the inside, but the outside is just as important.
So I call onto everyone to get their Belizean Flags out, their banners and even their lights! Decorate your homes inside and outside. Let’s show our patriotic spirit and show the world how we party and commemorate our Independence in style and honor. 🙂

This is what the UDP did for their recent convention. The Town Council can do this but with Belize Flags or banners of our Belizean Flag colors!
