The Wizard of Oz was driving around San Pedro back in the 1980’s along with witches, devils and ghosts and they were high in possibility of winning the grand prize. Halloween in Old San Pedro was mostly for the children who dressed up for their Halloween fair, danced in a circle and won a prize or two. It was later that adults got into the frenzy that it is today with elaborate costumes, not to forget to mention that they are time consuming and expensive. But Halloween is Halloween and is the joy of sharing some fun even if it means driving around town in a golf car as our good friend Kay Scott the Photographer did in her youthful days. And her vehicle only had one front wheel, something we don’t see any longer. Thank God or we would hear about a flipping over every weekend with the fifty miles per hour that we have today.
