A wedding is a wedding, now and then; it includes a bride and a groom, “padrinos”, and maids. Yes there is an exchange of wedding rings and a cake and if fortunate some pretty clothing. The one big difference of weddings of the past from those of today was the décor. You are well aware that there are fancy and expensive decorations today…well, you know how that is. This Flashback clearly shows that not even the chair for the bride and groom are dressed in fine white fabric. It was Mother Nature that was responsible for the decorations of a ball room- whether coconut palm trees, the beach, sea, reef, or even the lagoon with a magnificent sunset. Mother Nature was sure not to fail. So it was at Marino’s Club Roof Top where the majority of the weddings were celebrated in the 1960’s.
