My Present visit to San Pedro (the land of my birth) is a memorable one with sentinmental memories. I visited to commemorate “Los Finados” of our departed ones which has been a tradition in our culture.
Sorry to say that only senior Sanpedranos continue this tradition. My Chichi Rosa (Parental granddmother) was a resadora, so as a child, I held on to her hand so I could accompany her to all the prayers and afterwards we were graced with chocolate drinks and caprichos (sweet bread).
On November 1, I attended mass at the cemetery and my heart filled with gratitude and sentimental memories when Father Daniel blessed all the graves. Thanks to the generosity of our fellow Sanpedranos we also enjoyed chocolate drinks and caprichos.
