Miss Rainforest International comes back to Belize February 2007

After having left Belize for four years, the country’s most anticipated pageant-with-a-cause has undergone tremendous changes and now it’s back and better than ever. This year’s Miss Rainforest International will introduce the world to the first ever Beauty Queen’s boot camp and reality show, where the girls will be pushed to their limits through a series of physical challenges and competitions.

The gorgeous delegates will also get to tour the country and learn how to better protect our environment through a Sustainable Development workshop. Honduras, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Philippines, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Mexico, USA, and Belize are just a few of the participating countries confirmed for this year. Belize will be represented by the lovely Vanessa Chan, who also represented Belize at Miss America Latina in June 2006.

Also confirmed for this year is Latino boy-band C-Note, who will be entertaining the crowd with songs off their new album (call in and request on More FM, Love FM and Esterio Amor). C-Note has already had success in Puerto Rico with their first single “Wepa”, and their new video for the song “Forgive Me”, which is in heavy rotation on MTV Puerto Rico. The group has also shared the stage with the likes of Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Ivy Queen.

The public is invited to come out and enjoy the final pageant night on February 24, 2007 at the Novelos Convention Center. Doors Open at 7:30p.m., tickets are $25.00 and $10.00 for kids. So make it a date and bring out the entire family for a night of beauty, conservation and entertainment. Ticket availability and updates to be released soon.
