The San Pedro Post Office along with other main post offices around Belize now have a computer system where they can track international mail is a more convenient way.
The Post office started off with the computer system a month ago, which is used for international shipping, including registered mail, express mail, and air parcel post. The parcels are bar coded and all placed in the computer system which facilitates in tracking when the mail is sent and when it is to be received.
“It is a more convenient way to send mail (parcels) and easier to work as well,” commented District Post Master, Angel Valdez. “With the computer system we are able to show our customers that their mail has been sent and when the recipient should expect their mail, as well as to track the mail.”
