Ramon’s Village Goes “Pineapples”!

In June of 2009, Richard and Gina Headrick returned to Belize after a three-year absence. When they walked onto the property of their prized possession, Ramon’s Village Resort, they immediately realized it was time for some changes to be made.

Extending their three-day vacation into a 30 day working trip, plans were made to completely renovate the entire facility from top to bottom. One million Belize dollars later, the renovation is almost complete.

A friend of Richard’s asked him, “How do you intend to recoup your investment?” Richard replied, “We’re going to start advertising again!” And that is exactly what he has done.

A five hundred thousand Belize dollar ad campaign for 2010 has been launched with ads in several national and international publications. Ramon’s web-site has been completely redesigned and on-line reservations are now possible to book rooms.

Several small unique outdoor advertising signs are being installed along the island’s main traveled thoroughfares to advertise the goings on at Ramon’s. Two larger, more conventional outdoor advertising displays will be located just north of Boca del Rio. And they too will advertise Ramon’s Village and Ramon’s Restaurant, recently renamed Pineapples. A new menu will be featured on January 15, 2010, offering some of the best food money can buy on this island.

Some of the featured specials at Pineapples will be The Pineapple Explosion and Steak on a Stone. A hot stone will be brought to your table and you will cook your own steak, chicken or shrimp right at your table – just the way you like it!

The most attention-grabbing advertising method Ramon’s will utilize is the new JumboTron located across the street from Tropic Air. It is an electronic information device that will promote everything Ramon’s Village Resort has to offer – accommodations, food, gifts, diving, snorkeling, picnics, cruises, tours, etc. In addition, there will be daily messages on the sign making announcements on behalf of the San Pedro Town Council. These public service announcements will benefit the citizens of Ambergris Caye by keeping them informed about local events.

Richard said, “We want everyone to know that Ramon’s Village Resort is better than ever. And Ramon Nunez and his excellent staff are more excited than ever about the future!”
