Another set of Cuban Refugees has made a landing on the shores of Ambergris Caye, this time around in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 29, 2010. The San Pedro Police Department has confirmed that there are a total of seven Cubans detained at the Police Department, both male and female, that are pending processing by the immigration department.
The Cuban refugees have been attended by a doctor and declared to be in good health. The last time Cuban refugees made landfall on Ambergris Caye was in 2008 when there were three separate cases of landings in a time span of four months. More information on this latest case coming soon.
